Toni Cassidy underwent nose reshaping through Rubicon Medical in April 2010. Here she talks about her experience.
"I decided to have rhinoplasty because from when you looked at my side profile, I had a bump which bothered me alot. I was recommended (to Rubicon) by a friend who also had rhinopasty and I saw how well her's went and decided to do the same.
"My first consultation was brilliant. My surgeon was really nice, he took pictures of my nose and showed me the defects in my nose and how he would be able to correct them and pointed out to me that it would also help me with breathing.

"On the day of my operation the staff were polite, showed me to my room which I was really happy with and that was comfortable. They gave me a change of clothes, and then once I was settled they let my mum and friend come through to be with me.
"When I first woke up after the nose job surgery I was in no pain what so ever. I felt very hungover but that was due to the anaesthetic which slowly wore off after a good few hours. The staff there helped me when I needed my dressings changed and once I was more with it, they showed me how to do it myself, they checked up on me throughout the whole night. I felt very looked after and at ease.
"The surgeon checked my nose 6 weeks after my surgery. He was very pleased with how it was healing and advised me on how to keep looking after it.
"My bruising went after a week. I was taking arnica tablets daily to help with the healing. It has been 3 months now and I feel absolutely fine. If I need to blow my nose or sneeze, the tip of my nose is ever so slightly sensitive still but I expect that as have been told it will take 12-18 months to heal 100%."
"I absolutely love the result. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made, to have nose reshaping surgery. That insecurity about my look has completely gone and every time I look in the mirror I am so happy that the thing that bothered me so much, has gone. I'm so happy!!
"My friends and family have all commented on how good it looks and what a difference it has made, I have not had one negative comment as they all know I did this surgery for myself and no one else! It made me so happy to get it done that everyone is happy for me!"
